Ronald Reagan the Deceiver

After Reagan appointed Sandra Day Oconnor
The first woman to serve on the Supreme Court,
She joined the liberals and upheld Roe v Wade,
(Which had made abortion the law of the land ten years earlier.).
 
Reagan said, "oops, I didn't mean for her to do that!"
LIAR !! You knew she'd vote that way,
That's why you appointed her (after interviewing her)..
Black people are like 12% of the population
But they have around 40% of the abortions.
Almost all of those aborted Black babies
would have grown up to be Democrats.
Along with probably most of the other aborted babies(?)
 
Reagan knew that by appointing a woman who would uphold Roe
He could "save" the country from the harm  
that all those extra Democratic voters would inflict  
on America by electing Democratic wild-eyed liberals.
Black votes can make the difference in many elections.  

I must admit, I can sympathize with his predicament.  
Yes, I'd be tempted to do the same thing Reagan did.
 Let me emphasize,I'm not calling him a racist.
I just think the temptation to reduce the Democratic ranks
Was more than Reagan could resist.
 
He had the welfare of the nation at heart.
But that still doesn't change the fact
That Reagan lied to the American people(I'd say),
When he claimed to be pro-life.
