Chasing Dreams

As you hide from the rain, I'll dance through it.
While you dream about things, I'll just go and do it.
I'm tired of sitting around waiting for my dreams.
I don't really care how unreal they all seem.

While you dwell in your sorrows, I'll smile.
While you sit there scared, I'll go wild.
You say, "It's better safe than sorry."
I say, "I'm tired of this pointless crying."

I'm leaving behind all of the negative thoughts.
I'm leaving behind all of the lies I bought.
I'm not going to dwell in the past.
I won't let my opportunity be last.

Why are we all living in the shadows?
We can conquer our demons and our battles.
We can make all of our dreams come true.
