What's worth thinking of at all?

Why does your body always die down?
Why don't you live forever?
Why do you want to be passed on?
Why are offspring such an endeavor?

Why do you want to see beyond?
Why not stay in a place you know?
Why don't we love the world were in?
Where is it that we want to go?

Why are you so conceited?
What do you gain when you evolve?
If pain is only accentuated?
If war is all it draws?

What purpose is your violence?
Does it matter what you do?
Are morals there to stop us?
Are laws protective too?

Why suffer more than any?
Why argue everyday?
Why try if we're not happy?
Why venture far away?

Why endanger all around us?
Will greed be here to stay?
What peace have we implemented?
Are we good in any way?

Will arrogance destroy us?
Will we learn from our mistakes?
Will history prepare us,
for the science in our wake?
