He gave her a note—
Will you go with me to the dance?
and she the tomboy said yes.
He drives her to the park where
she will lose her shoes in the trimmed
grass, wet with dew and moonlight.

i felt this was too short. I like the metaphoric description of nature, in the second stanza.
