My Escape
Reading is a different experience
Every time I open a new book
As soon as the cover opens,
The words leap from the pages.
Action
Adventure
Romance
Mystery
They fill my head
And dance before my eyes
They lift me up
And fly me out of my room
Across plains
Mountains
Worlds
Realms
Universes
And when it’s time to go home
They gently let me down,
Kiss me goodbye
And close themselves into the book
Excitedly waiting for the our next
Adventure.
