Vanilla Candle
There is nothing sweeter in this world than your lips.
So I said; a year ago.
Without thinking, tonight I said to myself,
There is nothing sweeter in this world than the scent of this candle.
I paused, and I questioned it.
The candle smelled of vanilla ice cream.
I wasn't allowed to burn it in the first place.
Intrusive thoughts, so they say.
But it makes sense to me.
You always did wear that vanilla perfume.
So I said; a year ago.

There is nothing sweeter in this world than the scent of this candle.
