Behold, the crescent moon
Casts a light on forgotten tombs
Eons pass in misery
Black candles in the gloom
Burn with mystery

I can still see her face
Faced with the ultimate truth
Of mortality

Withered roses weep on the tombstone
Remind me of times I cannot atone
Lightning strikes weathered vanes
Winds lashing against trials I must abstain
The mourning sun rises in shadow
Gracing damning light across meadows
That lament for the fall of Troy
Highlighting my face still devoid of joy

Even if I break the lock
There's no turning back the clock

Ancient tomes bound in bone
The bones of forgotten ones
Wasted tragically
Her kiss left a scar on my lips
I would risk another one
To hold her in my arms
Once again

Another blight on this hellbound heart
Upon the gallows, I play the part
To revive the dearly deceased
Just to gain myself a measure of peace
Thorns invade the roses on her grave
As my chanting echoes in the grey
Dawn fails to penetrate the storm
Clouds congeal in skies where longing is born

Even if I break the lock
There's no turning back the clock
Even with you within my head
In this stricken heart
I still know you are dead

I feel you beyond the light
  Angelique, Angelique
  Two hearts wrapped in shrouds
  Creatures of the night
  Angelique

From songs to spells alone
Left bones to age brittle and frail
Cursed with immortality
I might fall into damnation
And behold the gates of Hell
To hold you in my arms
Once again

The tempest howls around the fire
Fills my ears with demonic choirs
I'm the honored guest at the feast
For a chance at love, I invoke the beast
"Who is this lost lover, Angelique?
I will take all that makes her unique
And twist it to the blackest hue."

And dreadful talons pierce me for you

  Angelique...

Behold, the crescent moon
Casts a light on forgotten tombs
Eons pass in misery
Black candles in the gloom
Burn with agony
