Pandora

I unlocked pandora
Ripped out my heart
Placed it in a box
And swallowed the key
Losing what was once my identity
Hidden in plain sight
From the bodies in my life
Covering the black eyes
From my dark past fights
You stood by my side
And shielded my eyes
Protecting me
From my deepest lies
As i cried into your chest
Confused as to why
Your heart remained so strong
That you never left my side

I wiped my mind blank
Deaf to all sounds
This was my way to be free
But you held me
YOU HELD ME
Because you knew in my hiding
I could never be free
You gave back my hearing
The moment you sang to me
Presented me with a stronger identity
And as i look into your eyes
Your warmth craddles me
Saving me ....from the hidden me
Destined to one day be free
To run into your arms
Why ? Because you found me

Unafraid of pandora who swallowed the key
You recusitated me
Breathing life into me
Using that once swallowed key
Because only you never lost sight of me
So I run toward you
Towards your light
Out of the shadows of pandoras box
Because truth is, of you� I never lost sight
You're that one constant
In this darkness
Presently known as my life
