I wish I had one more day
To see your face
Visual confirmation that the world is intact
I wish I had one more hour
For the sun to rise
So that I would have at least been awake
So that the first thing welcoming me
Back from black
Wouldn't have been that you didn't make it
What?
That you had died
I blinked the sleep from my eyes and woke up to a new reality
The world without you
I didn't properly prepare
But how can you, really?
I just know I wasn't ready...

Beautiful, this tears at my heart. I can the feel the pain and longing for
