The sickness
Im sick
Im Sick
The sickness
I'm sick and tired of these lies, all these cries, all these flies trying to touch blue skies
-Miseducated by miseducated educators
-Teaching diversity but yet they keep us separated
-This aint diversity this is just slavery replicated
-Fuck a democracy your system is straight hypocrisy
-People thinking economically over deadly chemotherapy just another bodily anomaly
-The rent's due soon, I think I have better things to worry about like my social ailments
always watching my back when you pass officer mack,
trying not to sell crack,
understanding what it means to be black,
and that's fact Ms. red white and blue you
see I looked in your backyard today
and I think what I was supposed to find
An eagle flying high
a living embodiment of the freedom YOU promised me,
the freedom YOU promised people like me from all brown hues.
Instead I, Instead I
Instead I find emaciated corpses with dreams replacing blood
Instead I find nightmares you can't wake up from, the kind that get separated by area codes and district desirability
Instead I find prisons in many manifestations
Instead I find corner store heroes with no destinations
Instead of Salons of pimped insecurities
Instead of schools I find prison pipelines of our future, men in orange in
sickle cells of an artery system called our community
Instead of safety I find the boys and blue that leave you black blue, but you knew that's nothing new
Instead of communities I find battlegrounds
Piled high with body mounds caused by the banana clips of oppression, post traumatic slavery disorders, abs all the rest of isms and orders fired upon the vulnerable
Mom, I'm sick
Tell me do you have the solution robutussin
these streets
these rhymes
these times are sick
These nights are cold,
But I long to hold my expensive blanket of red white and blue
