An Eskimo's Castle

An Eskimo's Castle

Have you ever felt you could not fall in love and if you did, what purpose does it serve
Other than to live with emotions, and so many hurts
Clouding your judgment, inhibits your reason
Ever wondered why fate, insists to leave you freezin
Why put yourself in such an abandoned place?
With not enough food to even taste?

Let me tell you of a girl, who lived in an Eskimo Castle
With a heart so cold, it could not be rattled
She had many suitors, cloaked in expensive cloth
Yet, she felt nothing inside but lost

The first who came to her brought many gems, for he was one
He told her, she reminded him of the sun
He thought her a diamond, she was genuine
But she thought of him as only a friend
He was tall, dark, and oh so very handsome
Yet his riches, were not enough to Ransom

The cold heart, in an Eskimo girl
could not be bought, if he owned the world
He had means from the water, the air, and the earth
He valued her highly, he valued her worth

Still she would not give him her heart, because he had not her mind, nor her will
And through all of this, she tried to love him still
She could not pretend, so she left to explore
What exactly was love for?

Out of the mountains, an avalanche
there was a man, she gave a chance
He loved hard and he loved deep
exposed her soul, like the roots from a tree

Took away her will, her heart and her mind
She thought without him, she'd be dead inside
This girl, had melted like the bricks that kept her prison
In the Eskimo Castle, she used to live in

Ever heard of dry ice? So cold it burns
like the suitors-she had much to learn
Like that love, isn't always fair
and you have to let go, no matter how much you care

And the girl that lived in an eskimo castle, she returned
To have a heart so cold-it eternally burns
Just like dry ice
She knew she'd never fall in love twice
