Simply You
SIMPLY YOU
I don’t let opinions confuse me
My mind is made up that’s for sure
Your religion and mine are so different
But we share what is honest and pure
Our skins are the same human tissue
They’re coloured like day follows night
But prejudice will not divide us
Together we’ll stand to the fight
No matter what parents have told us
Or what friends say should not be
The decisions are ours for the future
In the end it is just you and me
Our cultures are so very different
A million light years apart
But together we’ll make our own lifestyle
And compromise each from the heart
My god and your god are watching
Whatever we say or we do
But in all of this worlds complications
I’m happy to love simply you
