Night Chill
Touching skin bare,
feels like eroding stone,
can my sinning,
be forgiven,
can I mend the fractures,
of broken bone?
I need something to cover me,
like the way that your love,
surrounds me,
a haunting reminder,
I’m such a shallow home.
a night chill upon your limbs,
a sad song whispering,
my skin,
is a dangerous place to swim.
feels like eroding stone,
can my sinning,
be forgiven,
can I mend the fractures,
of broken bone?
I need something to cover me,
like the way that your love,
surrounds me,
a haunting reminder,
I’m such a shallow home.
a night chill upon your limbs,
a sad song whispering,
my skin,
is a dangerous place to swim.
