Death-by-Sea
Standing by the side of a raging tide
The dark night hurling hate
Javelins of rain
Spear the wounded sea
Writhing on ragged rocks
Surging on sulking sands
Rolling boulders growl
Above the winds demonic howl
Exposed by jagged forking flash
The thunder crash
Breaks on my reality
Mine the fascinated stare
Of mongoose and cobra
Eternity lies there
Step in, step in
I will wash away your sin
Step in, step in it moans
I will protect you caress your bones
I will hide you for all eternity
And the only witness you and me
No I whisper for you will take me
Then cast me aside
Like flotsam on the falling tide
Though I know your treachery
Yet still I stare
Transfixed by the fascination
Of Death-by-Sea
