to not want me anymore
I need you
to walk out that door
and save me
the heartache
of breaking up with you
the way I know I need to...."

too often we choose the people who hurt us
and give them the knives to push inside,
we peel off our armor and softly expose trust
and let them abuse us until we break down and cry
they whisper sweet nothings that are nothing but nothing,
caress us with promises; words of warm lies,
they appease us with teases; salvation like Jesus,
seduce us with truces of candlelit sighs
until you are the one with tears on your pillow,
crying yourself to sleep...every night,
but when you take the time to tell them it's over
maybe they'll be the ones with tears in their eyes

I found this while packing stuff to move. I cleaned up some flow issues and decided to put it on here. It was a song that kind of fell apart but I liked it as a poem so I kept it. Enjoy! Haha
Twin flames will evict your ass out of complacent stagnancy so that you may grow spiritually.
They are what we attract repeatedly until our lessons are learned. When we have evolved
enough to warrant a soul mate, or, if we're one of the rare lucky ones, a soul twin, we will have
already learned to first love ourselves so that we may not be codependent on another for
our own happiness. We have no fear of losing the other because the other is not our source
of happiness; therefore, will not be our source of pain should they feel so led to leave.

This works very well as a poem, but I hope you can try this as a song again sometime. I really enjoy your singing and guitar. But this is beautifully written as it stands, and very wise.
