Priestess to the Mad
She led me into calm pastures
Where sky streamed in blue sea of harmony
A counselor priestess to the mad
Her smile illuminated the dark crevices of my heart
She invited my inner child to play
We shed shoes walking barefoot in grass together
I felt the sensual touch of mother earth
Beneath my naked feet
The wet leaves of nature’s carpet
Licked my skin like a lover
Heat of her feminine flower aura
Melted my monastic heart

Your lady of peace to mind..she does sound like a nurturing..saving deity..angel of mercy and sweet woman earth.
You were quite literally made grounded .steps feeling the world again or at last..newborns first pats across floor hand held tight with care..
Love her..love your shaddowed heart turned so bright..lights my 🌙 night kitten..

Jennifer I love how your put into words the spirituality of this encounter I had with her. This was an actual experience I had with the same counselor lady I described in my poem "Heroine." In that poem she led group therapy and saved my friend from the enraged ex prisoner. I was always amazed at how nothing rattled her. On this day she and I sat next to each other at a picnic table. A woman across from us talked about me having a crush on Amy the social worker. Amy just smiled and nodded her head. Then she led me barefoot on the grass. We played volley ball one on one. Then we sat ane talked for three hours. She was an angel.

Yes the woman went on and on about my crush. The whole time the counselor just smiled real big and nodded. She was an amazing woman. I know you love me beyond a doubt. And I love you and your spirit. You make me feel young again. I am forever grateful to you for your love and all that you are.
