The social contract
People
We truly are a strange bunch
Mainly due to one thing
Social contracts
Guys do not hug other guys
Guys can hug girls
Girls can hug other girls
But with guy on guy hug action
Never
These contracts control what we can and can't do
We can't ask about a girls age
Or weight
But
We can do it with guys
Whilst working our goodbye's are
Final
Just a simple "goodbye"
But if its a friend
"goodbye" is said
Then a whole fat conversation pours out
Or worse goodbye is repeated at least
four times
In front of a camera
People put on this whole fake act
Talking about children, cancer, dogs, political issues and crap clichés
But watch that camera goes off
So does the fake person
These are a few of many

Hi! Do you read Political Philosophy? Rousseau propounded the theory of social contract, I think this is a great representation of that. The modern day Rousseau would concur to what you said. But since we are in the topic of political philosophy, do you believe that an ungoverned man (not bound by the rules of the social contract) is a savage beast? (Sorry if I read too much into your poetry)

I just read your page and found out that you are twenty. I am not too sure if you studied Rousseau, but I suggest you look him up anyway. I am blown by the level of maturity and the usage of words you have demonstrated at your age. (I speak as if I am a hundred, trust me, I am quite young myself)

Regarding the savage beast bit aarti. I think that a man becomes more of himself based on the fact that there are no rules. There are no social contracts tying him down. This poem was actually based on the play Waiting For Godot and how Samuel Beckett shows the pointlessness of being social. Thanks for the remark I feel touched. Truth be told I write a lot of shit if you've seen my other work.
