they beckon to me.

I am the monster here.
I am the abomination,

I am the one made prey.

Caught in this fixation.
The attraction. The want.
The wanting of a soul.

by draining the very blood from your breast.
Instinct now cannot be undone.

You scream.
I give chase.
Baring teeth.
Afraid.

Animal now.
Stalking. All-fours.
You look back.
Run girl.

Too slow.
Down to the ground.
A hand to your neck.
A whimper.

Admire the catch.
Beautiful.
Delicate.
Mine.

Twist your head.
I will be gentle.
Easing the fangs in.
Good girl.

You gasp as I take my spoils.
Greedily, I take you.
Your life, your radiance.
Your blood.

I take all of you.
Until there are no more breaths.
And you have lost the light
that drew me to you.

And I am not satisfied.
