Truly Divine
Power is paramount
If one desires his rules
To be heard by the people.
His servants, the fools,
If he desires to turn them
Into no more than his tools.
But surely this alone could not
Be godhood, not completely.
To simply have the force to make
Those weaker than thou bend the knee?
It merely turns those in high places to gods,
And makes mortals of you and of me.
One truly worthy would need power,
Yes, but power beyond mere strength.
Knowledge beyond knowledge and sight
Beyond sight, nothing beyond his will's length.
He is above man, humanity next to Him
Is so inferior, less than a tenth.
But something's still missing
To being a God, there has to be more.
Love? Surely, that must be some-
thing, for without it I would simply abhor
The tyrannical fiend who, through infinite
Power holds me in his ghastly claw.
But He is still too human, all too
Smug to be something more than we.
With all this He is missing something,
He is missing a sense of humility.
For it is He who serves us,
And He must choose this willingly.
For true and utter godliness,
This is undoubtedly the key.
