The Great Ones, Fellow
Stand at attention fellow
Could've borrowed anyone
Simply standing
Take your time
Hurry up, fellow
Hello, hello
Its simply good enough
To take the road not traveled
Fellow, I'll stand 'till I collapse
I always stand in your light
Oh, I'm sorry I don't laugh at the right times
I am nickel and dimed
Stand back fellow
Look through the bell jar
Walking through cornfields
And asking any open ears to here
To conjure up something to fear
Walking by blackwaters
I feel fellow, a hard rain's gonna fall
And its all gone awry
And wash's everyone away
To die, to die
To sleep awhile
I did not mean to implore
This life is to bleak to explore
I only meant, fellow, death comes
Only this and nothing more
Passed out, pillow-sleeping upon a dirty floor
Passed on the chore, passed out upon the floor
Gently now gazing into amazing
Space fluttering like a star blazing
With both eye's seeing
What a human is being
Explore things intriguing
Condescending hearts fighting
Black bird all around flying
Alas these lives dying
Fellow, I ask, what rapture?
What nature of things unseen
What mature things unclean
These eye's of wax broken
Of your appreciative token
Oh captain, my captain
My fellow, I ask to explore
But the bombs keep falling
But I keep calling
To the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.
Could've borrowed anyone
Simply standing
