Cat and Mouse
Hunter and prey, night and day, when the mouse runs out that cats come play, what's this really all about, this little game of cat and mouse. You tug my strings, you strum my cords, but I'm the Raven to your Poe, never more, never more. It's like special occasions only there for convenience, like the cool parent, with you, I'm always so lenient. It's hard to cope with life when you aren't around and I can't stand to drink cause I keep falling down. You see right through me, but do you look where it counts, yes I am different but I'm not hard to figure out. You're way too comfortable under you're tree that you don't notice all the shade is on me. And it's heavy oh my does is way a ton, can you not feel the heat from this burning sun? Patience, you keep saying patience is the key, but patience much like blood needs to flow free. Maybe I just don't peak your interest, or am I the fear of your worst commitment? How do you view me on a daily basis? Am I worthy to even sip from your oasis? Oh what ever is a mouse to do but let the cat lead her a skew. Adjacent to each other yet we know there are no others so why are you so parallel to me? Hunter and prey, night and day, when the mouse runs out that cats come play, sometimes I think of tapping out, but I'd miss this little game of cat and mouse.
