On the Other Side of the Mirror

Broken glass,
shattered from the past.
Let me see back,
to the past,
when I was a blank page.
Why does it always go wrong with age.
Why did I always suffer with such a rage.

Back as a kid,
so young and so violent,
With the boys,
No more 'girly' toys,
Mud and stunts,
passing by the days.

Born to be a hopeless mistake,
parents expected me to be something great,
I tried and now their faith has died.
Down a hole,
Only ten years old.
Power gone,
to help the ones past this fate.
Pushed them all through that gate.
Now I'm here,
Where to jump with no one who will cheer.
Dragged one back kept him tight,
Never knew I would ruin his life.
Stumbling down a road I chose,
This path I shouldn't go.

Was a young dreamer,
now a see-to-believer.
Broken by fixes,
I now have no opinion that is different.
Fix this mirror,
see to the future,
but I can never see after the cracks.
Face it I am who I am,
whats the point of looking back.
