Siren she was
Siren she was,
Trapped in her song
Dancing alone,
Dancing till dawn
The tempestuous current,
The thunderous storm
Tormented by her demons,
In silence she fought,
And weathered the war.
She trusted the waves that cradled her form,
And tore through the net with her bare claws,
Glided past the thorns
Into the vast waters, abyssal blue.
Stripped of her scales, her flesh glistened raw.
The sun touched her cold eyes with warmth
And sent her back to a time long ago,
A time long lost.
Down in the deep she found she belonged,
Where the arms of Darkness silenced her storms,
And lulled her to sleep, a battle fought and lost.
How sweetly the Queen reposed,
In pearls and gems as she was adorned.
In thrall unto herself, she died
And was reborn.
Trapped in her song
Dancing alone,
Dancing till dawn
The tempestuous current,
The thunderous storm
Tormented by her demons,
In silence she fought,
And weathered the war.
She trusted the waves that cradled her form,
And tore through the net with her bare claws,
Glided past the thorns
Into the vast waters, abyssal blue.
Stripped of her scales, her flesh glistened raw.
The sun touched her cold eyes with warmth
And sent her back to a time long ago,
A time long lost.
Down in the deep she found she belonged,
Where the arms of Darkness silenced her storms,
And lulled her to sleep, a battle fought and lost.
How sweetly the Queen reposed,
In pearls and gems as she was adorned.
In thrall unto herself, she died
And was reborn.
