The Siren
Can you hear the sound of angels?
Listen as the voice and the wind tangles.
Clear as the water that you sail,
Listen close as I tell you the tale.
Any other sound will pale in comparison,
Take just one moment really pay attention.
Hear how they approach every note with care,
Make you feel it your bones let it tingle you there.
Listen to their symphony they sing just for you,
Fall in love with harmony they bring on through.
It's peaceful love and joy, can you feel?
Your emotions away with their song they steal.
They have you, can you feel their grasp,
They have succeeded in their task.
With their song you are captivated,
Their melody has you completely elevated.
I can feel your chills as they move to their hook,
They are in your sights there, take a look.
You fool, you silly sailor man,
Your song is over before it began.
Oh, poor thing don't be so sad,
Many have fallen victim to these creatures that are bad.
They will sing you requiem as you sink to sweet oblivion,
The Siren song takes the most precious gift even given.
