My Hero
My daddy has always been my hero,
at around age 20 he was in a car accident
and broke almost every bone in his body,
they could not save his right leg, but
that never kept him down
He raised five children none of us
ever noticing he was different, he
could dive off the high dive with the
best of them, shot pool, played darts,
he would put 10 ton air-conditioners on
top of the Orange Park mall
Worked his whole life, when he was younger
he looked like a young James Dean, and God knows
he was hell on wheels
now he is 75 and not quite as sharp as
he once was, and God knows he can get
into his moods, but that's ok I will always
love him cause he is my daddy, my hero
