My old friend
You truly mean the world to me
you cheer me up, make me feel
like nobody can stop me
You've opened up my darkness
into a new light.
I feel a strange happiness
I no longer have to fight.
You take my bruises and heal them
You make my painful scars that I can't deal with
and make them sweet memories
You are more than everything to me.
I can tell you anything. You have opened
up my tiny claustrophobic world
and made it warm and safe
You trust me and you tell mt what you went through
To be honest I go through those things too
I cherish our friendship above anything else.
I wish it could go on forever and ever.
You are always on my mind, even over myself
I'm usually not a sappy, girly-girl
but when I'm around you I'm on top of the world
I wish I could really explain myself better
but I just want to say one thing I know is true
Above anything else, I love you.

The words are free flowing,giving an impression that the poem was written almost spontaneously...not with much thought but with lot of heart (99% of it)...the surreal nature of the poem created by the beautiful interplay of emotions and lyrical syntactic constructs gives an impression that the thoughts put by you in black and white are nothing but a reflection of you.
