Sour Fruit
At a young age I started to look for the light
That pierces the veil of ignorance
It scars to know the truth but I hate the lies,
In a society ran by such
It gets so bad we're asked to curb our personalities
To have proper edict in society
It's a major contradiction to the definition of being human
Human being, what does that mean?
A simple concept most can't fathom
Somethings that can't be taught, but must be seen
Which is difficult in this time
Everyone living behind brick walls and gates
Afraid of the most heinous emotional crime
Betrayal
In the process we lose our human traits
Leaving a gap to get filled by external factors
Money, lust, greed, vanity, knowledge, power
Opening one but closing many doors
Turning life's sweet fruit sour
That pierces the veil of ignorance
It scars to know the truth but I hate the lies,
In a society ran by such
It gets so bad we're asked to curb our personalities
To have proper edict in society
It's a major contradiction to the definition of being human
Human being, what does that mean?
A simple concept most can't fathom
Somethings that can't be taught, but must be seen
Which is difficult in this time
Everyone living behind brick walls and gates

Leaving a gap to get filled by external factors

Turning life's sweet fruit sour
