Listen to the words I speak
Try to understand the pain
The daily struggle and fight that is my life
No more pushing
No more screaming
No more punishing
Just listen
Really listen
Let my words sink in and ponder
My perspective
It’s different
Fucked up
Disturbed
But, still listen
You owe me that much
I put up with the abuse
Hitting
Slandering
Accusing
I let you control me
Take over my life
Be my ultimate commander
Well, fuck you
Just listen you pieces of shit
I battle myself each day
The voices inside tear me into tiny bits
My mind feeds me hateful words and lies
But you don’t understand
You don’t listen
You tell me I don’t try hard enough
That I am a lazy piece of shit
You just don’t get it
You never have
I doubt you ever will
Ears closed off to what I have to say
I guess it will be this way day after day

it hard to listen, when all they do is talk, i don't know if reading is the same as listening, but i am here still reading your work.

Not all wield their pain so adroitly as a weapon, and certainly not well; you, though, you, well you are another matter, luv. :-*
Your poem is complex, convoluted, twisting and turning upon itself. Tis a fascinating landscape and a disturbing one (somewhat you know and you're telling us, actually ;-p) described herein.
There are chilling aspects here too. The frost of your disdain is almost worse than the sear of your anger and you've conveyed them both with a great deal of innate skill and, what appears to be, no small amount of internal torment.
Tis a difficult place to be, luv; feeling alone there with none comprehending: sheerest agony.
While everyone's journey is not the same, that place of agony remains shockingly similar.
You're not alone, luv; others understand somewhat, are simpatico. :-*
With life, hope remains.
