Empty rooms and empty walls
I have taken your pictures down now
The removal of each one came with a new moment of mourning
You are not in your usual position
You are not anywhere here
Your aura of grace is gone

I was alone before you came and brought life to my existence
I do not fear the solitude
But I know you are gone

An excellent poem of acceptance and letting go, the hardest place to get to. this touches on the distinction between clinging to what was, and allowing the good to only exist in memory. I really like the part about being unafraid of loneliness, because sadly a lot of people hold themselves back for that reason. Choosing not to shows great strength. Nicely done.
