eyes closed,
& relaxed.
trying not to fall over,
i untie the wrap.
dangerous feelings
drowned out;
high.
melted happiness
in my veins.
nodded out,
still breathing.
o.d. isn't for me.
euphoria
shot triple times.
scratching away.
i know too much.

Wow. I do not know where to even begin, as I'm a recovering heroin addict. 65 days clean, as this poem depicts it quite well.

Congrats on being clean! Truly, I am kind of a hand's on learner, and after trying a few things harder than h, really made me curious as to what the fuss what about... I know how dangerous yet easy it is to like something so dark..so happy; This poem is my memory of it that day, and that's satisfying enough.
It's lovely to hear that you've been clean of it for that long now, sounds about close to when I experienced it, just about mid-ish June (June 14th, for myself)
