Wave upon Gentle Wave

The blue monster does not dare shift.
He waits quietly, gentle fingers covering everything.
The blue monster cannot help himself.
The hunger gnaws at his head, threatening to make him nothing.
The blue monster sighs eternally.
He wants what he cannot have, he wants the embrace of his lover.
The blue monster rages.
She has turned away from him, her green back taunting him.
The blue monster is possessive.
"You cannot hide from me. I will always have you."
The blue monster reaches for her.
His fingers and lips rain kisses and caresses all over her scarred skin.
The blue monster regrets.
It is he who scarred her, the blue rifts glaringly his own.
The blue monster does not dare shift.
Yet he cannot help himself.
He reaches and sighs.
He pulls back. He surges forward.
All he will ever get now, are the touches of her warm hair the sometimes stray into his face.
He grabs, so possessive that even he cannot control his own actions.
She hurts. Pieces of her give way under him.
This he regrets.
There is but a line of sand separating the two lovers.
A line of sand that the sea reaches over, yet cannot breach.
Something always pulls him back
