It feels like lately
I'm a ticking clock
The things people do
Really tick me off.

The pressure builds
I no longer hold back

I never attack
But I  no longer
Hold it in,
I speak my mind.

It upsets me when
Men think that
Just because they are in love
That they should the one
To receive that persons love in return
Honey, it doesn't work that way.
As surprising as it may be.

If a person is in love with another
Respect that.
Don't push
Don't shove
Rise above.

Let it be
Give it space
Matters of the heart
Aren't meant to be raced

Only time will tell
If you'll get a chance
But don't push

Don't try to advance

Respect their emotions
It is a true testament
of how you feel.
It is real devotion.
