Two Friends From the Past
I want an adventurous woman
Willing to dare a wild daring man
A heart unafraid of primitive play
I am ready and waiting for the day
We howl in harmony as a passionate duet
Expressing desires that know no regret
To equally please throughout our lives
In passion and pain each of us thrives
The craving I feel is rising once more
Like a rocket shot from deep in my core
Fueled by an eruption coming from deep inside you
Sets off our implosion morphing one love out of two
But that isn't all I'll share with you
No pretty lady, though it's all true
The desires I feel sprang from my heart
Declaring you and I are no longer apart
I want to share love that will forever last
So we never look back as two friends from the past

some explosive energy in this one, jj! i wonder about your last line, though. would it be so bad to look back and remember a time when you were just friends? or is this a stating you hope you don't part and then look back as friends. am i even making sense? ha!

Thanks for commenting Minerva! Yes, the idea being that we started out as friends and talked about becoming more and what would happen if we then broke-up. Would that also end our friendship as well? I have asked out girls that were friends first and every time it ended, so did our friendship. Other times I was told "no" because they were afraid of losing my friendship that was so valuable to them. Well after all has been said and done, we all drifted apart over time anyway, so really, the ones who said no should have said yes and at least we could say we tried and had something special for a while. From my entire life there is only one ex of mine that is still a friend.

I agree - once friends who get it on should never discuss historical relationship - not healthy
