Runaway

****NOTE****
There is a separation between the two major paragraphs because it was originally written without the beginning. Also, the original has certain parts that are italicized and bolded to indulge more into the story, I guess. Anyway, if you would like to see that, you can email me @ jdb7738@icloud.com and I will email it to you. As always, I hope you all enjoy it, if not leave feedback, and let me know what you think. And as always, don't be rude. Thank you. Lots of love, and good thoughts for you all.

She’s breaking.
She might not have a reason, but she’s failing fast.
She can’t breathe, and all you ever do is bring her down.
She doesn’t know how to tell you.
She understands you have been here for her since day one, but she needs to focus on herself for once.
She thinks about living a life without you.
She dreams of running away.

She packed a backpack, and she gathered tattered dollar bills.
She didn’t say goodbye, and she didn’t look back.
She cried all of her tears.
She screamed at God for answers, but she didn’t have time to listen.
She had half a tank of gas, and so much rage.
She told you she was going to take her cousin home.
She brought her cousin home, and her cousin turned off her location services, and gave her ten bucks.
She drove opposite the way she came.
She thought that it couldn’t get better.
She thought this was the only way.
She was tired of being out of control.
She took her life into her own hands.
If you had read her poems she tried so many times to show you, you would have known.
Everyone says that there are signs; that people don’t just leave.
She wrote the signs down, and she signed her name at the bottom.
She tried to hand you the signs on a silver platter.
She was constantly screaming at you.
You never listened.
You didn’t hear her.
She just wanted to be heard.
Now she has muted herself from the world, and you have the audacity to miss her.
She ran out of reasons to get your attention.
She ran out of reasons to want your attention.
She has it now, and that’s the last thing she needs.
She is on her way to better things, and you can’t hold her back anymore.
She is a dreamer, in a realists world.
She knows what she is doing.
She knows who she is hurting.
She thought about all of this.
She knew before she left that she was giving you up.
You think she didn’t consider the consequences, and you say that this is unlike her to not plan.
She has been planning this.
It was so bad that she would rather ripped apart her family than stay for another minute.
You obviously need to reevaluate your relationship with your daughter.
She has been in so much pain for so long, and you just pushed her over the edge; because she is human, and she forgot to defrost the beans.
I hope you’re happy now.
I hope you realize that when you miss my graduation, my wedding, the birth of my babies, and all the many great things to come, that I did this on my own, and it’s your fault I left.
I know exactly how she felt, because she is me.
