The Russian Conquest of Western Europe - the SHORTER version.
Daniel the prophet sees a vision of "four Beasts,"
Four future empires coming in succession(Daniel 7.17).
The first three have no purpose except
to bring us to the fourth one, namely
"The Beast with 10 horns"(Daniel 7.7).
This is the ancient Roman empire which
Covered the mainland of Western Europe
(Plus North Africa and the Middle East).
But the Book of Revelation explains that
"the Beast with 10 horns" will come a second time.
"The Beast..was and now is not,but will [return]"(Rev 17.8,11).
PS: It may look like the aggressor conquers just 3 nations
For just "the 3 horns/kings" are "subdued"(Dan 7.24).
On the contrary, all ten nations lose sovereignty,
For this is the return of the Beast(Rev 17.8-11),
The return of one-man-rule over all once-Roman lands.
To review,Dan 7.7 was the time of one-man-rule.
Then Dan 7.8 shifts to ten-kings-ruling concurrently.
Then the intruding "horn comes up among them"
Restoring one-man-rule over the ten lands.
So there are 3 periods in Daniel 7.7-8.
The purpose of the Book of Revelation is, in part,
To explain and clarify Daniel 7's "fourth Beast".
So, if Rev 17 says it comes twice, this implies
Daniel 7 contains both periods of the fourth Beast.
Plus the interim between those 2 periods,
The time in which the Roman empire is absent.
Now, if the essence of the Roman empire
was one-man-rule over Western Europe,
By each successive Caesar,
Then the return of the Roman empire simply means
The return of one-man-rule over Western Europe.
Right now, each nation over there is sovereign,
meaning it has its own ruler.
So the return of one-man-rule would mean
The loss of national sovereignty.
Nations don't give up sovereignty voluntarily.
So the implication is that the man who imposes
One-man-rule does so by force,by military might,
By the conquest of Western Europe in war.
It is with that premise (war) in mind
That we turn to the action verse, Dan 7.8.
Daniel sees "10 horns" on the Beast(Dan 7.7),
But then, "another horn came up among them"(Dan 7.8).
Since this is a vision of the future,
"Came up among" means "will come up among."
But what are the "ten horns" in the first place?
"The ten horns are ten kings"(Dan 7.24).
But kings(or the modern day equivalent) rule nations.
So by extension the ten horns are ten nations.
So when the eleventh horn "comes up among them,"
This means an aggressor nation will enter into the midst
Of the other ten nations by force,by INVASION!
Why does the aggressor nation have to be Russia?
Only a super power could overrun 10 nations at once,
Making an example out of the 3 horns/nations that are "uprooted,"
So as to intimidate the rest into surrendering quickly,
So that they can escape the fate of the "three uprooted horns."
It has to be Russia because China is too far away.
It can't be Germany,France,Britain,or Spain
For they are among the ten Catholic nations
Symbolized as "the ten horns"(Dan 7.7-8).
