If....
I open my mind to you I listen freely to the words you are speaking.
If I was to think for my self would your words sound the same?
I open my heart to you freely I allow you to see the darkest corners of my wounded heart.
If I was to love my self more and depend on you less would there be as many scares as there are?
I open my eyes freely to the things you want to show me, I allow you to tell me what it is I should see.
If I trusted my self to see what is really in front of me would it still look the same?
I open my arms to you and I give them to you to hold freely. If I closed my arms and gave you just my hands would you hold them just the same?
If I lose my self in you will you show me the way back to myself?
If I don't obey you like I used to would everything change? If I sit in silence will this all just go away? If I go to sleep now will I ever really awaken again?
I give all I am to you freely, if I do this can you do the same?
If I was to think for my self would your words sound the same?
I open my heart to you freely I allow you to see the darkest corners of my wounded heart.
If I was to love my self more and depend on you less would there be as many scares as there are?
