The Confusing Race
Everything is at war.
The mind battles the heart
The body fights the soul.
Primal urges compel us
Words defeat or build
Actions prove and lie
So is everything two-sided?
Does everything lie?
Why is human synonymous with mistakes?
I can not tell you why.
Why everything is a tornado of chaos and relief.
Why our philosophy is love, but we endorse war.
Life is a barrage of bullets and rain
An onslaught of love and pain.
And a desire for unstable and sane.
We are confusing beings, us humans.
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
