We'll See

My life- it's a whirlwind, I will admit.
Stick the needle in, take a hit.
Savour the buzz, it only lasts a bit.
Then go cradle yourself and have a fit.

All the colours, all the people.
All the friendships you've had to fumble.
End up sober, end up troubled.

One day without it and I know I'm screwed.
A high for three days, blow sleep out the window.
Losing weight, all the bones.
That's okay, I'll pull some cones.

Look in the mirror, what do I see?
That can't be me.
What myself have I turned into?
Some kind of stranger.
Unrecognisable.

Needle cuts deep,
Down the tears I weep,
All the scars I get to keep,
Across clouds I leap.

My life is a whirlwind- I'll admit.
But only since you've been in it.
