Loving you was
Afternoon tea
One deep delicious swallow
Your voice all the
Tasty treats
You loved me with
Unabashed tenderness
Knowing me as none
Other had known
You uncovered my secrets
By whispering yours
Your mouth next to my ear
Your hand on my thigh
When you told me
That you loved me
The stars stopped moving
And spelled our names
In the skies
Rare and precious
What we had and
When you left with
No word you left
A grenade in your place
I am still picking up
Pieces of myself
