Away
Desperate cries pierce the night
No one can hear them, silent, you see
Those screams that swell and roll
Are locked inside of me
Broken, bleeding, screaming, pleading
I willingly accepted the fall
You have become nothing more to me
Than a scar, hanging on my lonely heart’s wall
I can’t escape this dead end prison
That dwells so deep within
My hopes, my dreams, my happiness
Have finally met their end
I begged for your attention
But the wall you built I can’t break through
Something buried deep within my soul
Has consumed my love for you
I no longer care to try and find
If there are unspoken words left to say
Sometimes I feel as though I am willing
To leave you behind as I turn and walk away
No one can hear them, silent, you see
Those screams that swell and roll
Are locked inside of me
Broken, bleeding, screaming, pleading
I willingly accepted the fall
You have become nothing more to me
Than a scar, hanging on my lonely heart’s wall
I can’t escape this dead end prison
That dwells so deep within
My hopes, my dreams, my happiness
Have finally met their end
I begged for your attention
But the wall you built I can’t break through
Something buried deep within my soul
Has consumed my love for you
I no longer care to try and find
If there are unspoken words left to say
Sometimes I feel as though I am willing
To leave you behind as I turn and walk away
