A Return To Grace
I can not say
I do not know
But somehow
There has been a change
A gentle shifting
In the wind
I have lain
Cold and lonely
On this path for
Far too long
I have been given time
To reflect
And I thank you for this gift
I do not waste what I am given
It is too easily taken away
Somewhere deep inside myself
I have reached a break in the weather
And I know that storms
In whatever form they take
Only serve to make me stronger
I have survived this one
Hold out your hand to me
Forgiveness given, forgiveness received
Come, let us speak more
Of these things
I open my ears, my hands
My seeking heart
To your instruction
I do not know
But somehow
There has been a change
A gentle shifting
In the wind
I have lain
Cold and lonely
On this path for
Far too long
I have been given time
To reflect
And I thank you for this gift
I do not waste what I am given
It is too easily taken away
Somewhere deep inside myself
I have reached a break in the weather
And I know that storms
In whatever form they take
Only serve to make me stronger
I have survived this one
Hold out your hand to me
Forgiveness given, forgiveness received
Come, let us speak more
Of these things
I open my ears, my hands
My seeking heart
To your instruction
