Black and White
Seeing the world today not in colour
But in just black and white
Emotions released on a breath or a word
Have no shades, only wisps in the night
All the colours have been taken from me
Any sunrise is just shadow and light
And the thoughts that I have for you
Are deadened by this lack of sight
Is it me who's been changed?
Had my sight rearranged?
Or perhaps just a wish sent by others
Or is it you who's been lost?
In this limitless grey
Gone from glorious colour to a low and dark cloud
Sensing the world today
In these shades of shifting grey
I just close up my eyes
And let the tears flee away
Since to live without colour
Make my dreams less than yours are
And my sight is all lost
In this misty and shadowy way
But in just black and white
Emotions released on a breath or a word
Have no shades, only wisps in the night
All the colours have been taken from me
Any sunrise is just shadow and light
And the thoughts that I have for you
Are deadened by this lack of sight
Is it me who's been changed?
Had my sight rearranged?
Or perhaps just a wish sent by others
Or is it you who's been lost?
In this limitless grey
Gone from glorious colour to a low and dark cloud
Sensing the world today
In these shades of shifting grey
I just close up my eyes
And let the tears flee away
Since to live without colour
Make my dreams less than yours are
And my sight is all lost
In this misty and shadowy way
