Swallow the World

This the end of an era
The ban hast been lifted
Upon the earth
And now all hell breaks loose
The demons are rising up once more

Nature is reclaiming the Earth
All of mankind is in for hell
They thought they could control the world
They thought out of ignorance
And were dead wrong

The beauty this planet once was
Is returning slowly but surely
As the gods torture the humans
For their insolence and greed
With power they never knew existed

In fire and fury they take their hate
Upon the humans and make them suffer
Make them bleed and weep
Create feelings of which they never knew
And make their whole lives become a regret
Even their whole race a mistake

Swallowing the World back
Into the state of balance
Return this planet to a time of nature
Where all is equal and all is calm
A world without mankind

This may not seem "upbeat" to most but to me it is
