Dark Thoughts
A few inches away
The ledge at my feet
Hate pushing me off
Love pulling me away
Will I jump?
Will I stay?
To be or not to be
Possible just seems impossible to me
Hibernation wants to take me
Numbness took over my mind
What's coming to take my heart?
I'm falling in love
While falling apart
I want to jump
I don't want to stay
The ledge draws me closer
I'm gone...

The choice is to stay. This poem, though, truly wonderful. Captures a dilemma I have found myself in more than once. You pen it nicely. I can feel the pain bleeding through...

I relate to the words - dark thoughts, being on a ledge, wanting to go, but also stay. Heartfelt and honest. I like it.
