I'll Be Your Dog
I'll gladly rise to your command
and do a couple tricks
Your table scraps keep me sustained
but leave me feeling sick
You take me on a trip somewhere
and let me out to roam
But every time you leave me there
I find my way back home
I'm losing weight, I'm losing sleep
and acting like a clown
Each day for me is misery
I wish you'd put me down
You rub my nose in everything
that you consider wrong
You do this with the hopes that I
won't stick around for long
And when I'm almost over you
you keep bringing me back
You promise me a gourmet meal
and only give me snacks
You put me back out on the chain
after you've had your fun
You say you don't want me around
but you won't let me run
and do a couple tricks
Your table scraps keep me sustained
but leave me feeling sick
You take me on a trip somewhere
and let me out to roam
But every time you leave me there
I find my way back home
I'm losing weight, I'm losing sleep
and acting like a clown
Each day for me is misery
I wish you'd put me down
You rub my nose in everything
that you consider wrong
You do this with the hopes that I
won't stick around for long
And when I'm almost over you
you keep bringing me back
You promise me a gourmet meal
and only give me snacks
You put me back out on the chain
after you've had your fun
You say you don't want me around
but you won't let me run
