I want to keep a garden
I want to keep a garden
Full of nourishment and beauty
A piece of it will always stay
Evergreen and fruity
Hunger, I shall know it not
Nor want for entertaining
I shall have all at my finger's reach,
The product of my toiling!
If a neighbor in distress
Should ask me for a blossom,
I will gladly grant his wish indeed
A bloom or two, and then some!
It shall be a garden sanctuary
A place of peace resplendent
Where I will spend so many days
Healthy, wealthy, and content!
