Best Friend till the end

 
it’s amazing that we,

Came across as strangers,

You and I,

Within minutes were friends;

Hours into good company

Into days with time and devotion:

Became close,

Within months passing by

We were forever family,

A bond that bends

But will never break,

Without a doubt

You were only a phone call away,

It’s the small stories we share,

That makes me see something

I couldn’t see without you,

When I was down; you picked me up

When I was rising up; you held my feet

To keep me grounded on earth,

A simple lie from me,

Doesn’t even affect you,

Because you can see through my eyes

Into my heart and soul

Knowing my intentions

Seeing past my actions,

We both share secrets

Knowing we’ll never hurt each other

You and I will always be the same

Only difference is that time has changed

Trust and loyalty were never brought up

In this day and age

We express it through our actions

And never through our emotions

Yes we fought

We cried

Into hating each other

But never disrespecting one another

Like an open book

I can open up

And tell you everything I’m feeling

No greater prize than a friend

Who is truly willing to sit and listen

No intentions of judging

Only to slapping my hand

And telling me “you're stupid for what you did but

This is how we are going to fix it"

No greater friend than a best friend

That’s willing to stand and fight

For what you believe in

Whether its wrong or right

Showing me your heart

From deep within

That we once were strangers

That became best friends

And without you

I wouldn’t be able to see life

What life truly is
