The Graveyard Shift

I remember drowning in rivers of liquid apathy..
( My feeble attempts to swim away from this pain )
A feeling so devoid of emotion..
( & I claw frantically out of my grave )

( Dirt fills my lungs
 only sinking further still.. )

Your silence speaks volumes.. deafened by the nothing..
& my skin bears the scars in the third degree
Savor the taste of the mute tongue behind your teeth
For your dialect is corrosive as you speak in poisons
Smiling as you watch as the pieces of me collapse in upon it's self
Destroying the foundation of this structure now condemned

( I can only hope I die in such rapture as the sun does.. )

Carve my name in your visage
so you'll have to face the both of us
every time your reflection stares back..

( Then you'll remember this face.. )
