Hauntingly nostalgic. So few words paint so many resting places.

Thank you ... I got to visit with my dad - the first evening alone sipping Jacks and blowin' smoke bc we never did as men ... the next day my daughter and I cleaned his plot and planted flowers ... It was good for all of us.

i did something similar with my dad...i think it was a Jim Beam and Coke...a can for him and a can for me...not sure who got more...him six feet under or me...i did share...one sip for me and one for him  (splashed over his grave) till it was gone...the groundsman was quite amused by my (what looked to him) one sided conversation...

Lol ... On the second day there with my daughter - there was another gentleman there cleaning up his family's plot.  He said, "There's no place safer than being among loved ones gone." ... So true.
