Burdened

The distant traveler
Across the plains
Atop the lunar zenith
Speaks to the beasts
With a weary tongue
A faded relevant
Spreading his stain
Bitter forked tongue laments
By vested priests
Where bodies are hung

I know you bear this burden
Through the empty eons
The fall of their master race
You know I am your warden
Spitting fire like fell dragons
Through the folds of time and space

Pass by the revelers
In funerals
During a winter rainfall
Mourning season
Has now come again
Days are growing paler
Soulless sellers
Offer deals in crimson halls
Wish I had reasons
To erase the pain

You know I bear this burden
Through the empty eons
The end of their human race
I know you are my warden
Spitting fire like cruel dragons
Through the fall of time and space

Scores of bodies pile up
Pile up so high to reach the cusp
Stand upon the slain
To look over the precipice
And see the void looking back

Listen to lamentors
In motorcades
With roses and blinking lights
The sweet perfumes
To cover up death
All those mad inventors
Rolling parades
Merging death and science nights
Then they consume
You take your last breath

You know I bear this burden
Through the empty eons
The end of their human race
I know you are my warden
Spitting fire like cruel dragons
Through the fall of time and space

I know you bear this burden
Through the empty eons
The fall of their master race
You know I am your warden
Spitting fire like fell dragons
Through the folds of time and space

I beg you

...beware...
